initialization error when trying to install Freelancer

hello from greece... can anybody answer about this??

I get an initialization error when trying to install
freelancer that complains about the file SHFOLDER.EXE.
Has anyone seen this before?

nothing's work my friend... i download the malwarebytes and I scan my computer... i delete the problems.. i reboot.. then i open a cmd window and i write net user administrator /active:yes and was success

i run the instal with administrator rights and the problem still here...

You do not have to do anything. I sent you the Vista Compatibilty center. It tell if a program is compatible with Vista. The answer was that they were not sure. I do not know if Freelance can be used with Vista.
Has it ever worked for you?

you talk about the install...?? older i have install it and works fine... i drop it out because it has errors and my dvd wr it wasn't working to fix it.. now I have new dvd and I'm trying to find the problem and install!!! YES IT'S A GAME!!!! :eek: :zip:

edit: I replaced the graphics unit (I don't know exactly how we spell it) and RAM memory.. Ι don't know if is relative

Τα Windows δεν είναι δυνατό να βρουν το 'C:\Users\5282~1\DOWNLO~1\ShFolder\ShFolder.exe'. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι πληκτρολογήσατε το όνομα σωστά και προσπαθήστε ξανά.

The Windows can not find 'C:\Users\5282~1\DOWNLO~1\ShFolder\ShFolder.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.

Hello!

OTL - Download or alternative link here and here to the Desktop. Make sure it is called OTL.exe, and nothing else.


Download OTL to your Desktop and run it.

* Under the Custom Scan box paste this in:

/md5start
ShFolder.exe
/md5stop

* Click the None button, followed by the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
o When the scan completes, it will open one notepad window. OTL.Txt These are saved in the same location as OTL.
o Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of this file, and post it here.

There should be a NONE button, right at the very top of the window. I seem to remember that it is a grey/gray button, right at the top, on a grey background, with grey writing. Once you have found it, and scanned, please post the log. The log should be short. If the log looks anything but short, then have another look for the NONE button please!
