Looking for graphics card update, help please!

I've been looking to upgrade my graphics card so I can get a decent FPS going when I play any games or whatnot, but I have no idea which card would be a good replacement.

I currently have a run of the mill Dell Inspiron 530s and unfortunately, it only has space for a low profile card, which from what I understand limits my options by a lot.

It has a 3gb ram and a 250watt powersupply. The processor it has is a Pentium Dual core @ 2.20 GHz.

I would appreciate it if you guys could recommend me a decent low profile, x16 pci-express card that is below $100 and won't be bogged down by my low power supply.

Well, most graphics cards require a minimum power supply of 300 watts, and to also find a low profile card would be quite difficult. Try searching around online stores, or your local computer accessory store. Even cards above $50 usually require at least a 300 watt power supply. 250 watts is more of an integrated graphics card's power range.

You actuallyfind 450W slim psus, but then your intoa heating/cooling issue.

My suggestion is geta used 775 mobo, a real case and power supply and card.

Gets you half way into a new build, and done smartly, its all reusable.

I don't think that's a possibility for him right now, as he stated before, he has a budget below $100.
