Could be a virus/malware. To start, go to Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware and download Malwarebytes. Install it, let it update, and then run a full scan. After the scan is done, remove everything it tells you to and restart your computer. Then tell me if you're still having problems.

perhaps some games use "catalyst control centre", if that crashes the game does not run?
it is possible this "catalyst control centre" does not support x64 systems. when I decided to go with x64 instead of x86, I was repeatedly assured that everything that runs on 32 bit OS will continue working in a 64 bit system. I quickly found that is not the case nearly 60% of the time. Many of my games refuse to run on my 64 bit system, claiming its an OS not supported, too little memory, hardware not compatible, etc, others just flat out tell me they do not work with a 64 bit OS. many of my games, I cannot play. others I had to get new software (luckily I was able to many of them via torrents so the cost was not too much).

Just a note to RainyDay: While most people probably don't have an issue with torrenting something you already own (including myself), you might want to avoid discussing it on these forums. The admins like to keep everything clean, and may or may not like you posting about that stuff :) Just so you are aware.

Start with an update to your video drivers. Start here: AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Some additional system specs should help, do you have a pc from Dell or HP (or any big box pc) or did you build it yourself? What games are you trying to play and what kind of graphics card do you have?
