    Directx on windows vista business

    Is it possible to install direct x 11 on windows vista business edition? I do not have it yet but i am wondering about it for my new gaming pc

    Hi,

    First off, DX10 and DX11 are only Windows 7/Vista and come automatically through Windows update.

    To check DX version: -

    Go to Start => Run => dxdiag.

    This will tell you the highest DX on the computer, however, this may be higher than what your GPU can actually run.

    Which version of DirectX is on your computer?

    So does that mean whatever version of windows I am running can have direct x 10/11? I have not got windows vista business vista yet but i am planning to. My GPU will hopefully be the 5450 ati radeon graphics card and it is direct x 11 compatible.
