Strategy Pack game won't install

Ok, I'm really really frustrated!! I have been trying for 3 days now to install the Strategy Pack game (it has the following games : Great War Nations:The Spartans, Seven Kingdoms Conquest and Golden Horde). On my computer it installed in less than 10 minutes..but on my husbands new computer it wouldn't do anything so we went the long way about it by going into run and it was almost all the way installed when it said "installation ended prematurely because of an error" . It has been doing this for 3 days now and we have tried running/installing in compatibility mode and everything!! SOOO Frustrated please help!!! BTW-the systems this game can run in are 2000, VISTA AND XP.

If you try to install but it is not complteted it is very possible that remanants of the install remain, and will prevent future installs.
There is software, such as ccleaner that will remove the remnants, but I find this procedure to be the best
Make a system restore from before the first install attempt.
Then make sure that your Vista has all the required SPs and updates.
Make sure that your computer has the required specifications (memory etc)
Then try to install again, after a reboot.

If your husband has a new computer, I doubt if its Vista. If it is Seven try test for compatiblity.

I tried to do the system restore..It didn't work :(. My husband's computer isn't new enough to have Windows 7. It has the Vista. I am very computer savvy but have never run into this problem before....Is there anything else I can do?

Hello, there was a User that came in yesterday, had an install issue. seems as if the Game manufacture had its own installer program for the game , and it worked. Maybe this game has its own also ?

Are you using Norton or Zone Alarm, sometimes those programs will stop programs from running/installing > Just a thought ?

Yes, but computers get old and deteriorate, check now. It may be the computer. If it is OK for Seven, its probably not a hardware problem thats the cause. If it is lets find it.

I tried posting back but it didn't go through the first time so hopefully you can see it now...Yes it looks to be good for seven....Thanks for all your doing for me!

OK, that was step one, now check the requirements for the game and be sure you are up to snuff. For example, if 1MB of memory is required make sure you have enough available. Dont guess, check your computer. If you dont know how to check to see what is available for memory, Hard Drive etc post back.

My husband checked and we have more than enough requirements for the game....:)
