when i try to install "borderlands" game i get two errors. first one says " C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries\Borderlands.exe " i have tried the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) and that didnt do anything. When i click ok on the warning box i get "Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." when i view the event log i see

Any idea how to fix this?

did all that and same error messages. tried an elevated command prompt (sfc/scannow) and chkdsk. they both run and nothing happens
