    BF2: Special Forces & Vista64

Have a problem with the game stuttering constantly, totally unplayable. Am running it in administrator mode. Can play standard BF2 fine - seems wierd. Anyone else had similar problems

for the shadow message, your suppose to get a message on the screen that tells you about the shadow message. go to the root folder, and copy and paste the files in there, i think mine was in C: local disk/EA games/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2, there you will see shaders (2 different folders), after you copy and paste the files into the empty folder, it will tell you sometihng about (lightning) and do the same for that, after i did those steps it worked for me, if you still need help let me know email me at bojan087@yahoo.com

with only 2 gigs of ram i found turning off superfetch helps with stuttering in games

    HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SYSTEM/CURRENTCONTROLSET/CONTROL/SESSIONMANAGER/MEMORYMANAGEMENT/PREFETCHPARAMETERS

    and set superfetch to 0

I found for gaming 4 gigs is optimal for vista

I have 4 gig of ddr2 ram - but i still get stuttering on night maps in BF2 Special Forces. Everything else works fine in BF2. Have latest nvidia drivers for my 8800GTS, still the problem is there

    Same as you Fleishman,

    I have 4gig memory, a quad core, 8800gtx.

and special forces night maps absolutely suck.

what makes it worse i am clan leader of a spec forces BF2 clan and we are in comps and im struggling to play any of the night maps, setting to lowest settings does no make any difference.

Laughable on low settings for so much processing, memory and graphics power.
