This is one of my favorite games ever. I am having problems installing the patch however. Anyone have any luck with this? I don't think Vista is registering as a game for some reason, because the path cannot detect the program, even when I run the patch from the Medieval 2 folder.

Be careful, it installed and then it crashed the game and I cannot install anything!

Hey everyone I have the solution and unfortunately that solution is going to cost you about 20 bucks the only way to fix this problem that I or any other person I have talked too is by buying the expansion. It automatically updates the game during installation

I have the gold edition and that works fine. no probs with it at all!

i thought of that too. i just didn't wanna spend 20 buck. but if i return both mediveal 2 total war and the expansion i probaly would get a couple of bucks out it by selling to gamestop so it can go to buying the pack.

I got a new computer and i installed it on there. It worked just fine. The new computer is an acer, the one i used before is a gateway. the wierd thing is that both use amd turion dual processor and ati graphics card.
and I am loving the expansion pack!

I just received my Medieval 2 total war gold pack edition game and i realized that my computer wont recognize it as a game. I have a Windows 64 Bit and Im wondering, will this game work on a 32 bit. Also, what is this new patch everyone is talking about? Is it patch 1.1 or 1.2?

I have a 64 bit and 32 bit if i confused anyone.
