NoCD-DVD for Games!!!

Im new here so im sorry if this has been covered before but never have i ever had to use these cracks/hacks just to get the games working that i have actually bought!

Why do i have to use them? whats wrong with my disk checking? is it a fault with Vista64 or my DVD drives? At the moment i am having to use no cd or dvd on about 80% of the games i am installing including GTR2,Colin McRae 4,5 & Dirt.

I have a dual boot XP32 & Vista64 but XP is just for music so i really dont want to put any games on that drive.

Im just glad that the Battlefield series seem to work without them.

Re: NoCD-DVD for Games!!!

Just guessing here, but have you tried launching the game as administrator? Sometimes it is a permissions issue in Vista. I just add the run as administrator option on the compatibility tab under properties. Usually fixes my problems.
