Vista - Please help! BSOD on Vista x64 install

Everytime I attempt to boot from the vista 64-bit DVD, I get a BSOD after the first load screen. I'm all out of ideas now, and very frustrated. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Below is my system.

Pentium 4 EE 3.7ghz Dual Core
MSI P4N Diamond SLI motherboard
2gb of RAM
Nvidia 7800gt x 2

I had problems like that during beta, removing a graphics card sorted it.

As a general rule when this sort of thing happens, reset your bios and remove any hardware from the system that is not needed for the install.

I tried removing a video card, same problem though. If you have any other thoughts I would appreciate the input. Thanks.

are you overclocking? if so, go back to default settings. also check voltages in bios to see if your power supply is working correctly. also test the memory to see if it might be bad

I am not overclocking, and I ran a memory test which came up with no problems. I looked at my voltages, but I must admit, I really don't know what they are supposed to be. How do I find out what they are supposed to be? If you have any other ideas that might help please let me know. Thanks.

well the 12 volt rail should be around 12 and the 3.3 should be around 3.3 and so forth. if they are below those levels there is good chance the power supply is bad

what size power supply you running?

All voltages seem to be correct. My power supply is 600W so don't think it's the problem. I did ,however, just notice something that I should have a while ago. I have 2 x 2gb Mushkin DDR2, but windows only sees 2gb. Can you tell me what might cause that?

Scratch what I said about the memory, it's working. I am still stuck on the install though. Nothing seems to work. Just the same blue screen and the same stop message. Any ideas?

If your installing with 4gig in remove some as vista can be funny about installing with 4gig+ of memory.
