Friendly hello.

Hello everyone, i found this site researching Vista Business 64 bit edition.
I just recently (today) ordered a new setup because i would like to use Vista more often however a single core CPU just doesn't cut it.

Either way, I just ordered a E6550, MSI P6N 650i SLi, 2GB DDR2 667Mhz (which i think is gonna hold me back)

This is an upgrade from an FX-55, Epox 9NPAJ and 2.5gb 400mhz ram.

Rest of my system specs are the X-Fi gamer, 8800GTS(320) and 2x250gb 3Gbs Sata (not in raid)

I'm hoping to be able to play Crysis in DX10 with settings on at least medium settings, when i tried crysis on vista 32(FX55) i could only do low settings and my system struggled.

Anyone else have a similar setup that i'm getting?

BTW i got the upgrade for all of 280.00 Shipped from newegg!

Re: Friendly hello.

the E6550 is definately a lot better than the FX55(Dual core vs Single).
I think Crysis will work just fine @ Medium settings for you.
I have a smiliar setup(C2d,2GB DDR2667 and the likes) but the 8800GTS will surely be able to handle Crysis @ Medium settings.Dont worry

Re: Friendly hello.

My 8600's handle Crysis pretty well on Medium, with the 8800GTS you will have no problems at all.
