44C isn't too bad, but if that's the idle temp, then you could have a problem when you push the CPU.

You might want to do something to get that temp down by about 10C or so.

my comp runs like crap now i guess....everytime i turn on my snimpping tool my comp shows 2.4ghz but as soon as i close it it goes back down to 1.6ghz...wat the???

so then my ai suite tells me 1.6 ghz...and its using 44 C for 1.6 ghz..!!

i can t even go up to 2.4ghz without hitting like 60 C

i mean this is generic stock cooling..but it cant be that bad can it?

also if sum1 could help me add a pic from the snipping tool..i could kind of show u the stats

yep SLACR means its the new G0 Stepping.
As for the 2.4Ghz to 1.6Ghz,i think its the Speedstep thts kicking in .you can disable that in the BIOS if u dont want it to underclock your CPU but you could save some power if its on.

The temps seem fine for Stock Cooling, get better cooling (Thermalright Ultra120 and the likes) if you want to overclock it and see a big improvement in temps.

You should be able to drop the vcore pretty much if your running stockspeed.
I can have Vcore 1.2625 @ 3.2ghz, dont remember what i had for stockspeed.
But check ur Vcore and im sure you can go below what you have now.
Run Prime95 to make sure your stable as you go down step by step.

EDIT: Right now im runnig my pc at 3.6ghz and Vcore 1.5 in bios (true volt is 1.44V with Cpu-Z). Temps are about 42C idle and 65C 100% load on all cores.
