Time to work on Boot-time

I love Vista x64 but... One thing Mainboard makers ignore and I hope this thread will somehow with luck open their eyes to work on a better method of booting and shutting down a computer, I'm not blaming OS because it takes serveral seconds just to post, so the blame goes to hardware. MAC Mainboards boot within secs where as PC Mainboards take forever even with fast multicore processors, even shutting down. I would pay extra bucks for a different hardware method without resorting to switching OS and hardware.

Thanks for listening to my gripe.

Re: Time to work on Boot-time

yeah i know , my P5B also takes ages to boot-up.
If you want a speedy boot-up (better than intel neways) but are ready to sacrifice some performance then you should go AMD.
I have an AMD 4000+ in my other Machine and it realls boots up twice as much faster than this Intel system. For some reason,AMD systems do tend to boot-up quicker.
