Screen saver doesn't start

I have my machine set to start the Aurora (pretty!) screen saver after five minutes idle and then to shut off the monitor after ten minutes. Today, after being gone for two hours, I came back to find that the screen saver had never started. I'm the only one who uses this machine, so I know no one woke it up in the mean time.

Is there some known problem with screen savers not starting in Vista?

Thanks.

Yes. It could be a mouse issue, in fact. There's a chance your mouse "drifts." There's a utility somewhere, put out by someone, to fix it. I don't remember where (maybe MS forums will give you a clue).

To test that, see if you still have a ball mouse lying around that you could plug in to test it.
