Complete Backup of computer...

i finally decided to keep a complete backup of my comp...for any future PROBLEMS...well i finished up my new comp and got all the settings and all...and the computer is now making backup cds...can i jus run these backup cds on my old comp...by reformatting the HDD, and letting my old comp look jus like my new one? because the backup cd says it has all the settings and all..

Nope, you can only restore to the same machine.

The old computer will have the incorrect drivers for it if you restore these backups. It would be like walking into a shop in france and speaking english. BSOD would be the least of your problems. You can try clearing all the DATA from your old computer or restoring it to factory preset then restoring all data (No os files) from your backups. This will still cause problems and you may have to install all the programs correctly.
