I don't have the same board/bios as you do, and I'm certainly no expert... I might be able to help a little bit with generalities, though. Going to need a little more information to work with than "really weird" in order to be useful....

Could you tell us what you have done so far, and what exactly the issue is?

Re: got some ??? for someone ith a q6600 and a regular p5k board...

A lot of people seem to get caught by the fact that most Intel boards link FSB speed and Memory speed - So as you raise processor speed by bumping the FSB, it also forces your RAM to run faster. You can clock a Q6600 25%, no problem.... Memory??? Probably won't like that at all.... So the best approach is to set the memory divider to UNDERclock your memory. Then you should be able to raise the FSB to clock your processor without running into memory problems.

Re: got some ??? for someone ith a q6600 and a regular p5k board...

OK - It sounds like you haven't done this before and therefore may be poking around without a plan. And you now have the challenge of trading posts with one of those @$$holes who wants people to understand the process rather than just tell you "Set the Whoosiewhatsis to x, turn the FlammaJamma to three, and then alter the Feberstat so it says 'floop' and then everything will be good..."

So I'm going to ask you to read the manual for your motherboard very carefully - Especially the section on the Bios.

When you can post back and tell me what the names of the features are that alter your Front Side Buss speed, set Front Side Buss voltage, set memory speed, set memory voltage, set CPU voltage, and how to lock the PCi buss.... Then we can start. But I can't do much to help until there is at least a basic understanding.

Sorry if I'm coming off like a d*ck...

ok...im not that dumb...anyways..i read the manual...i know that when u raise the fsb...it acts for both the cpu and ram...and that u have to lower ur ram clockings before u raise the fsb...or it will cause memory probs...jus dont know how to lock the PCI bus?
