Vista serach doesn't find DRM protected files

Hi guys,

this is my first post here and I am not a native english speaker, so don't hate me for language problems. So, the problem I have here is that Windows Vista does not find any DRM protected music files I have.

I am a new Napster Flatrate To-Go user. I can download alot of albums, but of course they are DRM protected, which is not a problem for me. But what is an problem for me is, that any downloaded files won't be found by the index. The music files of Napster are stored in my music folder (C:\Users\...\Music), so the indexer should find them. Any other music I had (non DRM protected files) can be found easily via the Startmenu, the search dialog and Windows Media Player. The DRM protected files can't be found, except than in Windows Media Player.

I already deleted the old index-cache and created a new one, but that didn't help either.

Anyone else with this problem? Or a solution maybe? Or is this a general "bug" in Windows Vista?

Regards,
Muty

Sorry that doesn't help to solve the problem. The problem is not, that the file location are not in the index. The problem is, that the indexing service doesn't index the DRM protected wmas (wmas in generall are indexed).

Hi Raj!
Of course the index service is enabled, otherwise I couldn't find any file via the Windows Search. But I checked it and it is on automatic and runs without problems.
