| XP | About to strangle UAC I have tried running Vista with UAC turned on for 5 days now, I do not like it. I have gone into MSCONFIG a few times and disabled it, both times pressing the button the brings up the MS-DOS window. UAC will not turn off, after I go through the disable process it is still on. I have also gone into user accounts to turn off UAC and it shows its turned off there, but it is not. Any suggestions?? |

| Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: About to strangle UAC Click your logo on the start menu, and choose "Turn user account control on or off", that's all, a very simple way to get rid of uac. But remember ... some buggy programmed software may stop working if uac is gone. |
