Huh, exact same thing just happened to me. I didn't know what drivers to choose so sys would recognize an OS. I'll be watching your post looking for a sollution. I removed bad sys drive and installed Vista on another HDD. once I get sys back I want to reintroduce the bad HDD so I can recover my data. Then I'll remove the OS from the bad drive and use it for data only.
