i am getting a "windows journal can not start" message. message reads "there was an error initializing inking components". ultimatly, i am trying to get my Bamboo stylist pad to write freehand with windows live messenger. it had been working and stopped. during troubleshooting the manufacturer asked me to open journal. it would not open due to inking components. he seemed to feel the problem lie there. has anyone some imput on this?

This is a pretty old thread. I doubt you will get much response here. Usually its better to start your own thread even if the problem seems the same

Another possible solution...
Copy WISPTIS.EXE file in C:\Windows\System32\ into C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
Or search for this file and copy it to the syswow64 directory.
