Lock up's on new shuttle

Hi all, wonder if you could help me with a problem:
Ive just built:

Shuttle SN68SG2
AMD 64 X2 5000+
2GB corsair xms2
160GB seagate SATA
gecube x2600xt

Vista home premium x64 crashed whilst installing and everytime it loaded once it was complete (within 5mins). So i reinstalled vista with only 1gb of ram in 1 slot and it works fine, Tried both sticks and there both ok. Is this a vista problem? I've onlt read about this problem when people have been installing 4GB of RAM

Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers

Re: Lock up's on new shuttle

Have you checked the error logs after a crash?

Also run the memory diagnostic tool in vista to see if that finds any problems.

Re: Lock up's on new shuttle

Did get the blue screen when it happened, but its to quick to see any of it. ive reinstalled vista (1gb) since the error, so no log.

with 1gb installed - no errors detected

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Re: Lock up's on new shuttle

swap the stick and run the diagnosic again, just to rule out dodgy ram.
