Blurry Font driving me crazy!

For some weird reason the fonts in vista 64 are blurry when in the middle of my screen. if i scroll up or down then the blurry text goes clear and the text above it goes blurry. i have tried.. turning on and off clertype.. i just bought a brand new lcd.. same problem..

Hi Paul,

Here are some things to check:

1. Check to make sure that your screen resolution is set to the native (recommended) resolution for the LCD monitor.

2. Try increasing the screen refresh rate. 75 hertz is usually a good setting.

3. You should have ClearType on for a LCD monitor.

4. Check for a new video driver and install it, or reinstall your current one.

Try uninstalling you video drivers in Device Manager and restart the computer to see if the default drivers Vista gives it will work. If not, you might try replacing you video device with another one, a friend's perhaps, to see if you have a defective one.

For LCD screens, yes. They usually only look great when the screen resolution is set to the monitor's native resolution size.
