Reputation points

I am new to the board so I hope it is ok to ask this but what are reputation points ?Also what does adding to your reputation mean?

Hi ukerin,

Reputation points is way for people to tell how helpful a person is with their posts. You can click on the scale icon on a member to increase (Approve) or decrease (disapprove) the reputation points according to how you feel they helped or not. The higher the reputation points, the longer the green box bar is.
