dual boot-vista ultimate 64/ home basic 32?

Can it be done? I've searched the dual boot threads and if I'm understanding them it can be, but before I buy another os I just wanted to check.

Re: dual boot-vista ultimate 64/ home basic 32?

My problem is a driver issue. Im pretty sure that the os will load but it will be on the 64 bit machine so does that mean that the driver for the wife's scrapbook thingy would be the vista 32 driver (os I boot up in) or the vista 64 driver (that doesn't exist and probably will never) that the machine is? If this would work it will really get me out of the doghouse so please help

Hi boyce,

Yes, you will be able to dual boot with one partition or drive having 64 bit Vista and the other 32 bit Vista. It does not matter which one you install first. You just need to be sure that you have all the drivers for your devices for both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of them.
