| Junior Member Rep Power: 6  |  Right click new shortcut is not working anymore If I try to right click and do "new->shortcut" on either desktop or in explorer, nothing happens at all and I do not know why. Posts on other forums suggest there is something wrong with how vista works with .lnk attribute but I cant make any sense of it. And I will not try out the registry hack that is suggested as I do not know what it does. My only hope atm is if any of you are familiar with the very same issue and know a way to correct this behaviour. |

| Junior Member Rep Power: 6 | Re: Right click new shortcut is not working anymore Ah, ok I found a post on this forum possibly about something similar, so I will try out the fix the next time I choose to boot my machine. Changing Associations I'll get back later on and tell if this suggested fix solved my shortcut issue. |

| Junior Member Rep Power: 6 | Re: Right click new shortcut is not working anymore Hehe I still have not booted after applying the fix in my former post, yet now I see that my create-shortcut-on-desktop-ability is back at 100%. Seems like the fix worked ok, even though I did not reboot, or so it seem. |
