Having problems with the running and stability of my PC. System sp[ec as below. PC hangs regulalry even before a full boot up! and I have to use reset button and start over again. This can repeat itself many times till it is pointed at the window!! Occasionally it can and has run for hours without a bleep? Sometimes when it hangs there is a constant buzzing type noise but not always AMD Phenom 9400 Quad Core 2.20Ghz 4GB DDR ram 500GB Sata (not running as) hard drive NVIDIA GEForce 7300GT Windows Vista 64bit Ultimate Motherboard ECS A770m-A With the enclosed MB software, I cannot get it to accept my OS. I have mailed ECS Tech to obtain corretc and working disk but they chose to ignore thus far after 3 days!! NOT impressed. Being disabled I have enough struggles with my life and bought this PC new only 2 weeks ago - EBAY seller. Hope someone can assist Rangie

I suggest going to amd and trying to find the latest motherboard drivers for that board. I assume that is an amd chipset you are using.

Thanks for that advice. However, first wrote to AMD and they said to go to MB manufacturer for MB drivers. Waiting and still waiting for ECS to respond

try running with 2GB ram - some mobos are picky about double sided dimms, especially ddr1.

That is an amd chipset right? They have chipset drivers listed on their site. All you need to do is download the drivers from their site.

As an example of what im talking about...Say you bought a BFG 8800GTX video card. BFG will have some drivers listed on their site however those drivers are probably old drivers. The newest drivers are on nvidias site. Now of course nvidia is going to tell you that they do not give support for your card, contact your manufacturer...however their drivers are there for you to use.

AMD has drivers for that chipset on their site...get those drivers and give them a shot.
