Strange Icon for iPod Appears Out of Nowhere

Does anyone happen to know where this icon may have come from and how I might get rid of it? It shows up when I plug in my iPod. I have restored the iPod and this didn't help. When I boot into safe mode, the icon is no longer there if that helps any.

u can hide it..where u cant see it..but it will still be there...but theres no way u can notice it..

where ever it shows up
hit the shift key and right click on your mouse
open command window here

in the command prompt type "attrib +h (filename)"

replace filename with the name of icon...it should work..

Yes, and it only appears with my iPod mini not my iPod Video. I think I had the iPod mini plugged in when I installed Roxio Media Creator 9. I believe this may have been the culprit. I have since restored my computer to before installing Roxio but the icon remains. Any idea how to remove the icon from my iPod?

I know, it's very wierd. I'm going to keep tinkering with it. I haven't tried taking the iPod to another computer to see if the icon shows up there. Maybe it is in the iPod itself? I'm not sure. I may just have to live with it. It's not that bad, really. I think I'm just being anal. :-)

BTW....it looks like we have practically the same PC configuration. HA! I can't wait to get my hands on one of those new 45 nm quads once they become readily available.
