Appcrash!!!! Rundll32

okay so i got a file that i want to delete but now my computer for some reason wont let me delete it anymore, now it says that there is an error with the RUNDLL32 file? sorry newb, anyway so i've scanned these files thinking theirs a virus covered up and nothing shown up, so im thinking its just the file itself has messed itself up... im not to sure whats going on here anymore. advice?

That usually happens when a file is in use. Try booting into safe mode and deleting it. Before deleting make sure it is not a critical file needed for the os.

Are you using a legit copy of vista?
Ive head similar from counterfit sp1 rtm's that were fake loaded with a corrupted rundll32...
You cant change like your backround or anything like that huh?

i dont think so, we bought this computer from staples new.? would it possibly be a virus?

Most likely your registry got screwed up or yes indeed its a virus. (google it)

hey good news. i dont know what happened but somehow it either fixed itself or it just temporarily let me delete the file, the file was a burning program from torrentz
