Hey, I'm new here, but I've searched all over for an answer to my problem. My problem is that my ipod (30gb 5G Video) won't connect to my new laptop. It briefly shows up in the removable devices, and iTunes begins to sync it, but then it just disconnects. I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 with the latest version of iTunes (7.6 and a lot of other numbers, whatever's the newest). I fixed the scan and fix error message by doing a check disk. But now it won't show up for very long, and it won't sync. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks for the help

have the same problem, with no solution, ironically, my wife's vista 32 runs ipods and itunes wiht no issue, so i'm gonna try and install itunes 32 nstead and see what happens.
