Vista keeps crashing on start up!

HI, I have Windows Vista Home Prem (OEM) It's on a new PC.
Gigabyte MB, Athlon Dual core 4400 CPU, 2 Gig RAM, ASUS DVD RW, 250 Gig Seagate HDD.

Every couple of days after working fine it crashes and askes for Windows Vista disc to repair or install. VERY ANNOYING!! Asks at start up in Black screen to start in safe mode or normal mode. Now has just done it again and needs the install disc, this has happened over the last month, about 4 times.

Has anyone else had any issues like this?? Is it hardware issue? I thought it may be house wiring, power surge? As it has not done it in over a week at another residence. Now have it home and BANG:mad: what do ya know? it falls over??. Took it back to the shop telling them to fix it, as it may have been an issue with the MB, but came back working flawlessly with no issues after (they reinstalled) Vista from scratch. Service Pack 1 may address this I wonder??

Any ideas??

Cheers
Joffa

It sounds like your PSU is going out.

Run chkdsk in safe mode?
Have you got a virus checker running in the background.
Have you checked the cables.
Could be any type of hardware error.

If it does it again give us your specs.
