USB Mouse auto installed driver, disable?

I've having a problem with my Logitech G5. After reinstalling Vista my mouse has mouse acceleration even though it is disabled in mouse>properties.

I am 100% sure it is the default mouse drivers installed by vista. However I do not know how to disable it from being installed when I plug the mouse in. If I can disable the auto-install, I can use a PS/2 mouse to install Logitech's driver and then plug back in my G5.

How can I disable auto driver installation for USB mice (or a different solution)?

Re: USB Mouse auto installed driver, disable?

I would think if you install the mouse driver made for the mouse then it would load that driver instead of the default vista driver?

You may be able to plug in a PS2 mouse and use it without doing anything else. But, if not, then you can uninstall the driver for whatever mouse you are using via Device Manager.
