I need to reinstall Vista Ultimate 32 Im having problems like some games just dont want to connect to their server and both parties My isp and EA has sworn they have checked everything and no problems.

So I just want to reinstall Vista I tried the Vista repair and surprise it finds nothing wrong.

Retail Vista Ultimate.
I tried Microsoft phone support and am put on hold for hours which is just a
waste of my time.

If I ever had Major problems in XP I could just to a repair install and all was fixed
I cant do that with Vista which seems like terrible planning on Microsofts side.

It looks like if you have problems with vista your just screwed totally.
Just a rant of frustration in the last sentence.

Welcome to Vista x64 Forums. :party:

I'm not sure how to resolve your game problem, but you can try doing a Repair install first, instead of a clean install, to see if that helps.

If not, then related links 1 and 2 in the above link will show you how to do a clean install with either a Full or Updgrade version of Vista.

Thank for the response but Upgrade gets disabled for some reason it wont let me do a upgrade like in the tutorial.
Any suggestions?

I dont have sp1 installed so why wont it let me upgrade and is Microsoft going to fix the problem with if vista has a newer version you cant upgrade.
Im screwed and others are if they dont fix it.

I was going to upgrade the other 2 computers with vista but with all headaches of it I wont.
I wish Id just stayed with Xp.

Considering the cost of Vista I would only think that the OS is a very good and stable Platform but in my exprience its just the opposite.
An expensive Public Beta.
I paid retail and Im regretting it.

You might repost this question, but about the particular games and the problems you are having with them in the Gaming forum Vista Gaming newsgroup to see if someone may know of a solution for this without you having to reinstall everything.

A quick solution before you reinstalls Vista, try creating a new user id first and then try your games. Creating a new id will create a new profile that consists of all new settings.

Finally fixed my problem by reinstalling, upgrading Vista from my hard drive.
What a pain in the Butt.

Edit if SP1 stops the the reinstall of Vista, Im going to have to stay away from it totally.
