| Vista Ultimate x64 | Normally slow or a problem? Hello all. I am new to Vista x64 as I am a WinXp kinda guy but thought I would give it a try to see what all the hoopla was about. First, I want to thank the authors of the tutorials section - WONDERFUL... Now, my question is this, when I go to START then ALL PROGRAMS then click on a program folder (any one will do) there seems to be a large lag time before the folder opens up. I am talking about 5 seconds or so. IS this normal or is there an adjustment to speed this process up. THANKS for any responses given.. |

| Vista | Re: Normally slow or a problem? Did you try increasing the menu speed? In the Registry, go to HKey/Current_User/Control Panel and select 'Desktop'. In the right pane, look for 'MenuShowDelay', and right-click to select 'Modify'. Change to 0 for no delay. (I think the default is 400) |
