Newbie having problems!!! please help

hi,

i recently built my first gaming computer and have installed vista but am having a few problems. When turning on vista does not respond, this also happens when i wake it from sleep mode. When i wake up and turn the pc on, it just goes to a blank screen and nothing happens. I then have to restart the pc and it will load.

any help on this would be much appreciated

Welcome to the Vista x64 Forums :party:

It sounds like your having trouble when waking the PC from sleep mode.

We have an excellent tutorial on sleep related issues.

yeah im having a look through that at the moment. Do you think that could make sure that it responds when just turning it on. It was shut down beforehand and when turned on it wouldn't respond.
