| Vista Ultimate x64 | Hard Drive random access time went up? Hi all, I'm using HDTune to benchmark my HD which is a Samsung T166 HD501LJ. The Access time used to be 15ms, but now its 16.5ms or so. I don't remember changing anything hard drive related. What could be the cause of this? Edit: Well the hard drive is filled up more now since I've ran the last test (15ms) but it has been defragged. Could this be it? Edit2: ok thats not it. I moved all files to a seperate physical drive and its still the same. Last edited by grayprint; 03-21-2008 at 07:14 PM.. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Hard Drive random access time went up? No I haven't updated any drivers. I've only installed SP1. I'm not sure if it occurred before SP1 because I don't remember if I benchmarked it or not. I have updated the Intel INF chipset drivers and its still at a higher access time. |
