Backup and Restore Center Question...

    Backup and Restore Center Question...

    I already have my backup settings configured, but wish to go in and change the backup time. How do I change the backup time and save this setting WITHOUT starting a new backup?

    Hi Patrick,

    Welcome to Vista Forums.

    Step 17 in this tutorial will show you how. Just be sure to leave the box in the right screenshot boxed in red under step 8 unchecked.

    That checkbox is grayed out for me when I attempt to change the settings. That's what prompted my post.

    Patrick,

    Did you change the location for the backup to be saved to? This will cause it to be grayed out.

    Patrick I'm unsure why it would be grayed out then. You might go ahead and let it create a new backup with the changes, then check to see if it remains grayed out when you go back to change settings afterwards as a test.
