I think it is a hardware problem " may be fax modem, network card, ... etc"

Hello John,

Welcome to the Forums.

Go to device manager and right click on various devices (most likely network cards) and select properties. Go to the power managment tab and make sure 'allow this device to wake the computer' is unchecked.

Hope that works for you.

Great tutorial. Hibernate hasn't worked for me since SP1. Now, after trying some of the options for S3 I get a thermal alarm during the initial phases of shutting down, which shouldn't be possible since both of my pumps are on when the alarm starts. My box then goes into hiberate (shuts down), killing the alarm, and restarts after a few seconds. Ah well, perhaps after a few hours of sleep I'll figure it out...
