| Newbie Rep Power: 4 ![]() | 30 second delay on login Hi, My new Vista 64 system (Q9300, 8 gb Memory, 1.3 TB disk) has a 30 second delay after I enter my password and before the desktop appears. During this 30 seconds there seems to be very little disk I/O and nothing shows in the event logs. The delay is exactly 30 seconds. I timed it with a stopwatch. FWIW, I do not believe this present when I first installed Vista 64 on this machine. It appeared after I added I installed applications. My currently installed applications are: Office 2003 Office 2007 Visual Studio 2005 Visual Studio 2008 SQL Server 2005 (server is set to not start up on boot) Abode Photoshop CS3 Adobe Lightroom Any thoughts? |
