| Newbie | Help 3gigs of ram on Mn32-sli deluxe I have 2 1 gig sticks and 2 512 sticks of Mushkin HP2-6400 and it works for a while at great speeds but then BSD. When I go back to 2 gigs all is fine. 4-5-4-11 are the timings. I would really like to use them but maybe I should relax my timings. I dont want to slow down from 800 if possible. |

| Senior Member | Re: Help 3gigs of ram on Mn32-sli deluxe Hello dstalte. I run the same RAM configuration, 2 1gig sticks and 2 512mb sticks. All corsair DDR800. No problems. I suggest you install all your memory and download Memtest86. Create a Memtest CD and boot from the disk. Run the test for at least an hour and allow 3 or 4 passes. Or until a error is detected. I have never had a good expirience with Mushkin or GSkill. I have recived several bad, brand new sticks and now I only trust Corsair, Crucial or Kingston(in that order). Good luck. |

| Engineer | Re: Help 3gigs of ram on Mn32-sli deluxe hi dstalte and welcome, there is very little difference between ddr 667 and 800, especially with the large cache in today's cpus. 800 speed is mostly just marketing. Last edited by geezer10; 04-11-2008 at 07:08 PM. Reason: premature submit |
