| Junior Member Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Desktop Icons Rearranged; IE Favorites disappeared Help! IE Favorites has disappeared, then after rebooting my desktop ikons became re-arranged. WHAT'S GOING ON ? I'm running Vista64 w SP1. My desktop folders are re-located to a D drive. The OS is on the C drive. I still have all the "D:\<username>\Favorites" files that previously appeared in the IE favorites list. |

If that does not work, then you will need to do use Method Two to change their default locations in the registry. Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location Hope this helps you, Shawn |

| Junior Member Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: Desktop Icons Rearranged; IE Favorites disappeared Hi Shawn, All my ikons were randomly put in the upper left corner of the monitor. I easily moved them as best I could remember back to where they were before. But the real question is what the heck happened to scramble them? XP never did this! Bob |

It may be from having those two folders relocated to another drive?? Where you running anything that you think of that could have caused this before it happened this time? Shawn |

| Junior Member Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Re: Desktop Icons Rearranged; IE Favorites disappeared That's interesting! I updated the NVIDIA driver. The update was successful, no problems. So a system restore shouldn't have happened, only a checkpoint. Are you saying I should expect the desktop to get rearranged every time Vista drivers are updated? |
