| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Disable searching the internet on hardware install? You will just need to unplug your webcam, then uninstall the driver in Device Manager in the Control Panel (Classic View). Afterwards, reinstall your driver and then plugin the webcam. Vista should then autodetect it and install the driver for it. Hope this helps you, Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate 64 | Re: Disable searching the internet on hardware install? Thanks Brink - i actually managed to get it to work earlier exactly that way (when i eventually found the correct x64 driver on the net!) I'd still like to be able to disable the automatic internet search for future hardware tho! Wish i hadnt clicked the 'do this everytime' button or whatever it was! |

Vaderag, You might look in Device Manager to see what hardware it keeps trying to find a driver for, then see if uninstalling or disabling it will stop it. It should be the one that stands out with a error icon on the device. |
