Dvd Writer not responding in vista

Can Sum1 Help Me? Yesterday I Installed Vista Ultimate X32. Everything Was Fine Except That Whenever I Put A Dvd Or Cd In My Sony Dvd Writer,The Pc Hangs.It Cant Read The Disks Given. But While In Xp , It Works Fine. Is It A Prob Of The Rom Driver Or The Vista Itself? Ive even installed the new dvd writer's driver released from sony. But of no use in vista. Wat 2 do
