Customized cursors default to vista cursors

I have set up customized cursors for vista but every time I restart, they're defaulted back to the vista cursors and I'd have to go back to Personalize to revert back to my custom cursors
What can I do to save the settings I have for the cursors?

Put them in the Windows/Cursors folder; it worked for me. For years it didn't matter where I put cursors but I guess in Vista that's the only place they'll save.
