xp pro 64 vs vista ultimate 64

need some advise, i already have vista 64 ultimate on my HDD(a) on my machine. my cousn gave me a xp pro 64 bit and i like to install it in my HDD(b) coz i have 2 HDD on my pc. is there any prob if i install it??
im running 4gb and 8800gtx. im afraid that there will be a harware comaptibility prob if i use xp 64 bit ,most specially in RAM and VGA vard.
so, if theres any good advise frm you guys.

best thing i can say to have a look at the sites of your motherboard-manufacturer and nvidia.com. if you have a motherboard with a nforce chipset you can find all info at the download-section of nvidia.com.

i don't think installing by itself will be the problem. drivers for the motherboard and the videocard probably will be available. getting drivers for soundcards, printer, scanners, etc will be the problem.

if vista x64 works xp 64 will work for sure. There are more drivers for xp then vista 64 at the moment.

Nope, there are a lot more drivers for Vista x64 than XP x64.

Nope, there are a lot more drivers for Vista x64 than XP x64.

YMMV having dualbooted for almost a year, there are more drivers for my setup for xp then vista. And the box i had before as well, and i just recently found drivers for my printer and the display drivers for vista were totally crap. I just upgraded my graphics card, upgraded to 8gb memory and put in a quadcore which made it so i could dump xp and run vista as mainplatform.

the only one confused will be you angelo, the mobo doesn't care much. From personal experience, if you have no special need to dualboot, stick with 1 which performs best on your box.
