OK anyone who has a Antec 900 will know what im talking about, they just rock:cool:. You can post your experiences and photos here. So cheap too for £50 ($100). Alot of people have said about noisy fans. Its not so bad with 1 of the fans on the front set on high and the top 200mm one and the other front one of medium.

I see you went with the extra side fan too. That green light on the side looks cool as well. Check out the "Show us your Rig" thread, there are some great set ups pictured there.

Yeah same with me, the CPU cooler is a Zalman 9700 NT 110mm.
The side fan was after market, but i decided to add a blue cathode ray tube to spice things up a bit. :D
I like how it cools, with all fans on medium and the giant one on high it's quiet. Idles at 31 and the cpu stays at 32 degrees C so even when I was looking into water cooling I decided to stay with my current setup because for the money I think the Zalman is awesome.
And yes I do think that the fan seems a little loose, even fully tightened it easily turns so the fan rocks up and down, but it stays flat up against the processor so I don't think it's too much to worry about.
Note: I do have Artic Silver 5, if that makes much of a difference.

Man, my stuff seems to be at 44-47 all the time and my fans are on high pretty much all the time. Am I doing something wrong? For a while I had everything down just under 40, but lately it's what I just said.

This case is kind of like having a tiger tank instead of a porsche lol. Yo Bubba, it might be because your pc is full of s**t aka dust or you may be having a hot spell of weather. I know we are in the UK - (omg unbeleivable) its causing my temps to rise a little.

Those zalman 9700 nt are probably the best all round processor cooler. Its properly manufactured so that all heatpipes work a 100%, there is a large surface area & the fan is 120mm. Plus its solid copper coated in zinc to stop it oxidizing & its light so it wont rip your board apart, i now hang my stock intel one on the wall to warn off tresspassing noob pc builders. My only gripe is that the fsn is green & not blue, but i suppose you can easily tell if the fan stops turning.

Well it's a Dual Core, (X2) but yeah quad cores probably will run hotter. Some fans i've seen people have on their quad cores look like they're bullet proof so i'm sure there might be better options.

I have the fan that came with the chip. Paint me green and call me Gumby but I figure that INTEL knew enough to make the chip, they should know enough to put a proper fan on it.

I have always ALWAYS used an aftermarket cooler, yes they designed the chip but they only design the cooler to meet "average" use specs. Most people who game or do any kinds of graphics are NOT considered average. I use and recommend Arctic products as they have served me well for years. I currently have a Arctic Freezer 7 on my brand new Q6600 and it keeps it cool as a cucumber. If you are interested in that cooler I have found probably the best price US you can get it for from Xoxide.com - Custom ATX Computer Cases, PC Mods, Computer Case mods, and Modded PC Cases . Check them out if you want to try a really good cooler the Arctic Freezer 7.
