I need help. We have Vista Home Edition. When I want to download only new pictures of our sd card I have to wait and download the entire sd card. We have about 550 pics so far and it will only grow. Why do we have to go thru these everytime? I only want the new pics..............................

Hello Kimblythe,

Welcome to the forums.

How are you downloading the pics now? When you hook the camera/card to the comp., does it show up in windows explorer? If it does (it should if you have the drivers installed) you can simply select the ones you want to save to the computer and drag and drop them into the folder you want them in.

Hope this helps.

Okay, right now I plug the card in and this box appears in the bottom right that says to tag the photos and it just starts pulling pictures. I noticed also that is pulls pictures that were not even taken with the camera. For example, my kids daycare teacher gave us a cd with a bunch of pictures, which I downloaded. And now when I put the sd card in it starts reloading those pictures also. It's just crazy.....and then it saves them all again in a folder. I have no options to choose what to download. It's like the computer has a memory of every picuture that has every been downloaded in the computer....and just starts over every time. Whether they are on the sd card or not. I appreicate your help....Thanks

Try this. Control Panel (classic view)/AutoPlay. There will be a list of different type of media. You can either uncheck use autoplay or you can go to the pictures entry and select 'take no action' or 'Open folder to view files using windows explorer'.

Hope this works.
