Getting ready to install Vista

I am upgrading my workstation and going to get Vista x64 Ultimate SP1. I have a few questions. I was running XP x64 SP2.

Supermicro X7DWA-N motherboard
pair of Intel E5430 quad core 2.66 GHz 1333 MHz Xeons
16GB DDR667 ECC FB-DIMM
LSI Logic 8708EM2 SAS RAID controller
pair of Supermicro M28E1 8 drive enclosures

RAID 1: Seagate Savvio 146GB 2.5" drives + hot spare

eVGA 8800 GTS 640MB video card.

PC Power and Cooling 1kW-SR customed wired power supply
20A circuit
Tripp Lite 20A 2400W line conditioner

I am planning on adding RAID arrays in the future. The enclosures can hold 16 total drives.

It was built for A/V and CAD work.

I have two tape backup drives: LTO3 400GB and VXA-3 160GB. Does Vista x64 Ultimate have tape backup software like XP x64 SP2 NTBackup?

Can I add my user to the administrators group? I was told how to re-enable the administrator account.

Can I disable DEP like in XP x64 SP2 with boot.ini command. /NoExecute=AlwaysOff

I am planning on moving paging, temp files, temporary internet files to RAID 0 3 drive array. Will I have any issues?

Can I move the My Documents folder like I did in XP x64 SP2. I usually put it on my apps RAID array.

I would assume so.

Re: Getting ready to install Vista

I started reading the tutorials. A lot of great information. The new SAS RAID controller and battery along with Vista x64 Ultimate should arrive tonight.
