A couple of problems with Vistax64..

First off...I had HUGE doubts about getting Vista...and even bigger doubts about getting Vista x64.. But I have grown to love it...everything is much smoother, and I am just loving the new OS despite other's opinions.

However, I have 2 issues with it that I would like to know if anyone can give me some support on:

1st issue: My bluetooth keyboard and mouse will not stay working. They are Rocketfish brand and are Vista Compatible. They did work on my last PC that was running XP.

2nd issue: My icons will not stay put. I arranged my icons how I wanted them, but everytime I power off the PC and turn it back on they are all crammed on the left side of my screen. Any ideas on how to get them to stay where I put them?

Thank in advance,
-Xen00b

1.) Get better drivers for your devices.
2.) Turn off auto arrange

I just did that and it did do the trick. My drivers were apparently out of date :P.

But auto arrange isn't on on the 2nd part :S

Hello Xen00b,
I can't answer your 1st issue. I had 1st hand experience on your 2nd issue. What I did was first put my icons where I wanted, then I created a restore point, then did a system restore with the date I created the restore point. Hope it works for you.

Are they cordless? If the answer is yes then Brink has something ELSE you need to do to make them work lol.

Xen00b,

If you have a reset button on the reciever and a connect button on the mouse, then press them to sync them back together to see if that will help. Sometimes mine will do this.

I had done that before....they seem to be working fine now.

There was an issue with me having no passkey for them...but I just selected 'no passkey' and they seem to work..

I looked through the documents that came with the keyboard and mouse and it said select 'choose a passkey for me', but when I did it wouldn't work...it said that there was an error when trying to find my passkey.

I have selected 'no passkey' now though, and everything seems to be working okay....we'll see I guess ^^
