So I tried to set up a second log-in and password on my new computer/vista system and reset the password on my original user account - it in turns out however that neither seemed to have worked. Not only can I not change the user login (maybe because it only recognises one user account) my password (old or new) isn't working either. I have absolutely no idea what I've done or how to fix it.

I've already had a look at the Microsoft help page and it's best advice was to re-install windows. Won't this mean I'll never be able to access my old files ever again though? Tragedy....

Please help out the Newbie

This just happened to me too!!! It happend when I tried to set up a new user account. I have to idea what to do either so i'm right there with you buddy.
