NAVIGATION PANEL (formerly, file tree...)

QUESTION About the "navigatio panel", actually the tree, which shows to the left of the folder list when you open the folder:
normally I want it activated, for instance when opening the windows explorer
BUT for "document type" folders, I don't want it, I just want the doc icons filling the screen
IS THAT POSSIBLE? in other words, is the "navigation panel" something particular to a folder type or is it something you just have or not?
thanx

Hello etodem,
On the left panel (the tree), do you see a Downward pointing arrow? Click that. If you want it back, look to the bottom, click that pointer. If you make it disappear, it'll stay "hidden".

thanx. But I didn't make myself clear; of course I know I can hide the list, but the point is, I want the whole left part of the screen to go, the whole panel, not only the list; for that specific type of folders, I want the icons to fill the window;
I could also narrow vertically to the limit but that's not the point.
thanx anyway

by the way, I know I can make that panel disappear clicking "organize" on the top mmenu bar and then under "design" just unmark the "navigation panel option" but then that happens for ALL folders & types

Hello etodem,
Guess what. We HAD the solution . We just didn't COMBINE the 2 together.
First the "arrow" part, then the "organize" part. All other folders will NOT be affected. Let me know if it works on your computer.

Hi Etodem,

This tutorial will show you how to easily hide the Folder Tree or Favorite Links sections at will without turning the Navigation Pane off.
